Once a bear, always a bear!

The University of Northern Colorado is about as far away from the mountains as you can get in Colorado while still having the comfort of a relatively large town. Why I chose to go further away from the mountains, I’m not totally sure. What I am sure of, though, is that I would not trade my undergraduate college experience and education for the world.

Although the school is not a “target school”, nor does it hold up well next to its D1 counterparts in Colorado (University of Denver, University of Colorado at Boulder, and Colorado State University), I loved it. My professors were amazing and experts in their fields, my friends were incredibly supportive of all of my dreams and goals, and, it gave me my fiancé, Madi (more on that here).

I studied Sports and Exercise Science where I focused my emphasis in Exercise Physiology and Cardiac Rehabilitation and minored in Sport Nutrition.
