Well, if you have made it these long in my data room, I guess it has piqued your interest.

So - let’s get down to who I am outside of my work, research, and education. Here we go!

I have always been affectionately known as the “Giraffe” due to my height and lanky stature. Being 6’7” in middle school was definitely a wild time and I rightfully earned the nickname. I hated it at first. But I then decided to embrace it. I started to learn more about Giraffes and how they operate. They are loyal, graceful, and subjectively majestic (not too sure about that as it relates to me, but who knows). They are now my favorite animal and they have quickly become turned into an sign of positive change in my life.

I am a huge skier. The first place outside of the small mountain that I learned to ski on in Vermont (Roundtop/Bear Creek) was Beaver Creek because my cousin was on the ski patrol and race set up team so he could get us a discount on tickets. Talk about a culture shock. Going from the small, icy slopes and dirt parking lots of Vermont to a ski town that has an entry way that looks like this? Crazy.

Really, I am a fan of anything outdoors - other than hunting. Fly fishing, mountain biking, hiking, rock climbing, backpacking, horseback riding, golf, or just going for a drive. I am in. I may not be the best at them, but I just enjoy being outdoors.

Finally (and most importantly), my fiancé Madi and I are currently moving back to Denver from Boston. We lived back out East for just over two years and loved every second of it, but we missed the sunshine and soft snow too much to stay away any longer. We have the smallest dog you’ll probably ever see named Sofi and are so excited to be back home in CO!
